Through the Medical Seminars Program “Leonidas Georgopoulos”, “Pediatric Trauma Care” trains doctors, nurses and Ambulance Paramedics in how to treat an injured child the fastest and best way possible. Participants who attend specialized medical seminars are trained to assess, resuscitate and stabilize the condition of the child at risk.
Up until 2010 our Charity used to organize medical seminars in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University Hospital. From 2010 to date “Pedtrauma” finances the medical Seminars A.P.L.S. (ADVANCED PAEDIATRIC LIFE SUPPORT) and P.L.S. (PAEDIATRIC LIFE SUPPORT) which are organized by APLS Hellas and APLS Crete.
In total, the following medical seminars have been held:
– 55 A.P.L.S. (ADVANCED PAEDIATRIC LIFE SUPPORT)
– 1 P.A.L.S. (PAEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT)
– 18 P.L.S. (PAEDIATRIC LIFE SUPPORT)
– 4 B.L.S. (ΒASIC LIFE SUPPORT)
In addition to financing seminars, our Charity has purchased specialized equipment necessary for the training of the participants (infant and toddler dolls, immobilizers for the injured, educational defibrillators, protective masks, etc.).
