“Golden Hour: Immediate and effective care for paediatric trauma”

Οn Wednesday 12th of February 2020 the event “Golden Hour. Immediate and effective care for paediatric trauma” was held at the SAKA Club in Athens College, organized by SAKA Healthcare Professional Club in collaboration with our Charity.

The President of the Charity, Mrs Natasha Clive-Vrecossis presented “Pediatric Trauma Care”’s project, Niki Zolota, Program Coordinator, spoke about the activities of the Charity and Elena Pisimisi, Head of the “Trauma Prevention” Program, discussed “Education on Trauma Prevention”.

Also, Mr Constantinos Velaoras (MD, Paediatric Surgeon, Penteli Children’s Hospital, and Member of “Pediatric Trauma Care”’s Scientific Team) analysed “Treating a Heavily Injured Child”.

Moreover, Mrs Neny Pervanidou (MD, Assistant Professor of Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), Head of the Division of Developmental & Behavioral Paediatrics, First Department of Paediatrics, NKUA, School of Medicine, “Aghia Sophia” Children’s Hospital) elaborated on “Post-traumatic Stress Disorder in children and adolescents after accidents”. Finally, Atalanta Vrecossis (Psychology Student, Deree – The American College of Greece) talked about “Treatment of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder in children”.
