Dear Friends, 

We would like to inform you about our news concerning the last seven months.

The Charity “Pediatric Trauma Care” participated in the “THALIS II Mapping & Evaluation of the Non Profit Organizations in Greece” program, conducted by the Political Science and International Relations Department of the University of the Peloponnese and the Non Profit Organization HIGGS in collaboration with researchers from 3 universities, and was funded by the Charitable Foundations: TIMA Charitable Foundation, Stavros Niarchos Foundation, Athanasios K. Laskaridis Foundation, Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation and John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation. 

It has been proven that most children’s accidents occur during the summer holidays. At this time of year the schools are closed and this means children have more free time, often without supervision. It is also a period when people go on holiday near the sea or in the mountains.

It is our great pleasure to inform you that we have equipped the 26th Trauma Center in Greece, in the General Hospital of Ptolemaida ”Mpodosakeio”, with funds provided by the George Youroukos family.

Accidents that happen due to animals do not occur often and those that do occur are rarely deadly.When such accidents happen, though, they are very unpleasant and often cause children to develop phobias that may follow them throughout their lives

It is with great pleasure that we would like to inform you that we have equipped the 25th Trauma Center in Greece, in the General Hospital of Veria, thanks to a donation to our Charity by OTE Group.

It is with great pleasure that we would like to inform you that we have offered a neonatal transport incubator to the Paediatric Department of the ”Skylitseio” General Hospital of Chios, with funding provided by the Antonios and Ioannis Angelicoussis Foundation.

The playground can be a source of great joy for our children. However, it can also be the cause of serious accidents if safety measures have not been taken or if it is not properly upkept.
