Joint Statement for the Ratification of OPIC

“Pediatric Trauma Care”, along with 56 organisations advocating for children’s rights, co-signed a statement calling for the initiation of procedures to ratify the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on a communications procedure (OPIC).

The statement was submitted on the Universal Children’s Rights Day to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, spearheaded by the Network for Children’s Rights. It was presented on November 22nd 2024 during a Press Conference held at the European Parliament Liaison Office in Greece.

The press conference featured representatives from the State, independent organisations, and children, highlighting the importance of ratifying the OPIC in order to strengthen the protection of children’s rights in our country.
