The companies OTE and COSMOTE are supporting ‘’Pedtrauma’s’’ work for yet another year.
With the message “No matter how much we offer children, they will always offer us more”, ΟΤΕ and COSMOTE celebrated this year their support to more than 150,000 children in need all over Greece, as well as promoting volunteerism among their employees.
ΟΤΕ and COSMOTE, for yet another year honored in a specially organized event sixteen charitable institutions for children, offering them a total amount of €550,000. Along with the work of these institutions, also honored in the context of the event were 4,700 volunteers standing by the children’s side on an everyday basis. For the past sixteen years, ΟΤΕ and COSMOTE have supported with over €6.5 million more than 50 institutions, thus contributing to the improvement of living conditions for children in need all over Greece.
Mr. Michael Tsamaz, Chairman and CEO of the OTE Group, stated at the event: “Through the support we provide for these institutions that care for the children, we are given the opportunity to meet people surpassing themselves and doing work that is both important and creative on behalf of all of us”.
Addressing the OTE Group employees, Mr. Tsamaz stressed the importance of giving, by saying: “We are proud that our employees are active volunteers and that this year more than 6,000 colleagues have taken part in volunteer actions. The best results are not achieved when each member of the team does his or her best for themselves, but when each and every one member of the team are doing their best for themselves and for the whole team. And we are all part of the great team of society, so the responsibility for the future of our children really rests with all of us”.
