Our goal is to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>reduce the number of children\u2019s accidents,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ensure the immediate and proper treatment of injured children,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>upgrade the hospital care provided to children in our country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The results in numbers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the statistics of the Hospitals and Health Centers equipped by \u201cPedtrauma\u201d, from 2010 up to the present date more than <strong>3.447.700<\/strong> children have benefitted from our Charity\u2019s work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2025, <strong>448.100<\/strong> children passed through the Trauma Centers and the Paediatric Departments equipped by \u201cPedtrauma\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><br>How we implement our work:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>a) By opening Trauma Centers in major Public Hospitals<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have upgraded, renovated, and equipped <strong>45<\/strong> Trauma Centers, where the injured child is immediately admitted and stabilised without losing valuable time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>b) Equipping Paediatric Departments and Clinics in Public Hospitals and Health Centers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our main program focuses on equipping Public Hospitals and Health Centers throughout Greece. To date, we have equipped <strong>156<\/strong> Departments in <strong>130<\/strong> Hospitals and Health Centers with <strong>1.987<\/strong> machines and necessary equipment. In this way, we significantly improve the quality of care that children receive in critical moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>c) Educating children, parents, and teachers on Trauma Prevention<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cEducation on Trauma Prevention\u201d Program, through presentations and educational materials, informs children, parents, and teachers about the most common risks that can cause accidents, providing guidance on how to protect children at home, at school, and in outdoor spaces. Our presentations on Trauma Prevention have been attended by <strong>72.245<\/strong> children and <strong>3.658<\/strong> teachers and parents. It has been shown that proper education can reduce the number and severity of children\u2019s accidents by up to 50%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>d) Educating healthcare professionals on how to care for injured children<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Charity supports the training of medical and nursing staff, as well as Ambulance paramedics, through the Medical Education Program \u201cLeonidas Georgopoulos\u201d. To date, <strong>2.498<\/strong> doctors, nurses, and Ambulance paramedics have been trained. The training focuses on the assessment, resuscitation, and stabilization of children at risk and is delivered through seminars organised by A.P.L.S. Hellas and A.P.L.S. Crete, which we partially fund to ensure their quality and continuity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><br>To date, we have equipped <strong>156 Paediatric Departments in 130 Public Hospitals and Health Centers<\/strong> across Greece.
